Where we work in Jensen Beach

Jensen Beach boating runs up and down the Indian River Lagoon — Jensen Beach Marina, Nettles Island, Indian River Plantation, and the docks in between. The causeway ramp and Indian Riverside Park are both regular meetups for us, an easy run from our base in Port St. Lucie.

Boating in this water

The lagoon at Jensen Beach is shallow, salty, and full of grass flats and sandbars — which is why this stretch is full of bay boats, flats skiffs, and pontoons alongside the twin-engine hardtops at the marina. Skinny water is hard on lower units. Sucked-up sand chews impellers and clogs water intakes, and a motor that overheats on the flats usually got there one handful of sand at a time.

Boats moored or docked around Nettles Island and Indian River Plantation sit in warm salt water all year, and the lagoon grows barnacles like a crop. Growth on the lower unit, salt in the cooling system, anodes wasting away — it all happens at the dock, not underway. Mobile service fits because these boats aren't going anywhere easily. We come over the causeway, work at your dock or slip, and you keep your day.

Common questions from Jensen Beach boaters

How far is Jensen Beach from your base?

About 20 to 30 minutes from Port St. Lucie. We're over the causeway regularly. Emergencies get same-day or next-day when possible.

My boat is docked at Nettles Island. Can you get to it?

Yes. Nettles Island, Indian River Plantation, and the private docks along the lagoon are all normal stops. Give us the dock location and gate details and we'll come to the boat.

I ran shallow and now my motor runs hot. What happened?

Almost always sand. The lagoon's skinny water gets pulled through the intakes and it grinds down the impeller and blocks cooling passages. Shut it down, don't keep running it hot, and have us check the water pump before the overheat does real damage.

Can we meet at the Jensen Causeway ramp instead of my house?

Sure. The causeway ramp and Indian Riverside Park both work. Trailer the boat over, we'll do the service right there — handy if your HOA or dock setup makes home service tough.

How much does service cost?

Flat $450 labor per motor. Twin engine $900. Triple $1,350. Parts billed at cost. $250 diagnostic — applied as $95 flat for Care Plan members.
